Wow, wow, WOW! What an absolutely incredible day myself and my wonderful second shooter Sophie spent with Harry and Chloe at their fabulous Devon wedding in October. This is still one of my most favourite weddings to date - and I'm sure when you look at the photos below, you will see why!
Harry and Chloe are the most incredible, down to earth and amazing couple - both being religious, they held their ceremony at their church in Exeter and I have to say it was the most emotional and powerful ceremonies I have ever experienced. Everyone was singing their hearts out to the hymns, arms and hands were raised to the ceiling, eyes shut taking in the moment. My eyes were filled with tears because of how beautiful it was to be in that room filled with such love and celebration and I will never, ever forget that experience. Especially after the nightmare years that we have faced with COVID, to be in that church with all of those people all singing and coming together.. it was just utterly magical.
Their reception was held at the lovely Bickham Barn in Exeter - a fantastic space to house all of their guests and such wonderful spots to capture their couple portraits. Everything down to the table names was clearly carefully considered, and not one part of their day really followed tradition as Harry and Chloe had the perfect day exactly how they wanted it. There was a card game involved with the guests' wedding favours, and a 'Great Wedding Bake Off' where Harry and Chloe had a few of their friends and family prepare delicious treats for them to sample - and what a fantastic way to incorporate their cake cutting whilst really engaging with their wedding party.
So grab yourself a cup of tea and a pack of biscuits because this is going to be a long one! So many wonderful photos from the day that I just had to share in the blog - I hope you enjoy looking through their day just as much as we loved capturing it.
