In a world of ever-evolving digital photography, there's something incredibly special about the art of 35mm analogue film. The look, the feel, and the process—it all adds a layer of depth and nostalgia that digital can’t quite replicate. That's why I'm excited to offer my couples the option of incorporating 35mm film into their wedding photography packages, alongside traditional digital photography.

Film has a way of capturing moments in their truest, most authentic form.

The soft grain, the subtle colours, and the natural imperfections make each frame feel like a piece of art. The unpredictability of film is part of what makes it so magical; it's not just about taking pictures—it's about creating something that feels timeless, organic, and full of soul. It invites a raw, emotional quality into your wedding photos that digital simply can’t emulate.

There's an undeniable charm in the slow, deliberate process of shooting on 35mm film. It’s a method that requires patience, focus, and a deep understanding of light and composition. Each shot is precious, and this mindfulness adds a layer of intention to the way I approach your wedding day. With every frame, I’m not just capturing an image—I’m capturing a moment in time that feels real and alive. The way light dances across your skin, the way emotions play out in the small gestures—it’s all enhanced by the unique, nostalgic qualities of film.

But it’s not just about the aesthetics. Film photography allows me to focus more on the emotional pulse of the day. Without the distraction of constantly checking settings or reviewing images, I’m able to immerse myself fully in the experience, giving my couples more natural, candid shots. There’s a warmth to the images that digital photos can’t quite match—a feeling that brings you back to that moment, time and time again.

A Timeless, Nostalgic Look

Film naturally offers a vintage, classic feel that transports you back in time. The subtle grain, the creamy skin tones, and the soft highlights create an ethereal quality that evokes timelessness. When you look at your wedding images years from now, the film shots will continue to feel fresh and relevant, never tied to a passing trend.

A Soft, Dreamy Quality

The unique textures and colours in film photos give them a soft, almost dreamlike quality. The muted tones and organic textures add a sense of romanticism and nostalgia, making each image feel like a moment suspended in time—a visual love letter to your day.

I include a roll of colour film as standard with my two full day wedding packages, at no extra cost. If you wanted to add further rolls, this is priced at £50 per extra roll (incl. processing costs).
