Wow - what a nightmare year 2020 has been. It's super easy to focus on all the negatives and feel sorry for ourselves, which is exactly what I've been doing over the last few months. No work, no weddings, so many wonderful weddings postponed, no lovely new couples booking with me - I felt really 'ugh' for a good while during lockdown. But when restrictions started to ease up, and we were getting back to a sense of normality, I had a flood of couples asking if we could do a 'what-would-have-been-our-wedding-date' shoot - and of course, I said hell yes!

The amazing Revan and Charlie were due to tie the knot on the 16th July this year, but due to COVID kicking all of our butts, they sadly had to postpone to July next year. We wanted to make their original date super special, so we organised a shoot at their wedding venue, the stunning Parley Manor in Dorset. The shoot followed an engagement shoot structure, having some traditional photos taken, and then easing into the natural ones (which we all love). As Parley Manor is Revan and Charlie's wedding venue for next year, I wanted them to feel comfortable being in front of the camera, and feeling at ease with the more formal shots. Needless to say, they were absolute pros!

Parley Manor supplied Revan and Charlie with a little hamper of prosecco and cake - what more could you wish for? They spent the day having afternoon tea in the Italian Gardens with their gorgeous new puppy Enzo and making the most of their 'would-have-been-day'. The sun came out to remind them that it's not all doom and gloom, and we have so much to be thankful for, and to appreciate our health and the people we have around us. I can't wait to photograph Revan and Charlie's special day - and I can tell it is going to be amazing.
